Nature's Place Therapy 2nd Annual Barn-Raising
Nature's Place offers speech, occupational, and physical therapy in a natural farm-like setting. The use of animal- assistants, the environment, and music is used in treatment plans along with traditional methods of therapy. Volunteers are always needed.
(PRWEB) July 27, 2003 -- Nature's Place Therapy invites you to join our 2nd annual Old Fashion Barn-Raising Saturday, August 16, 2003, 9AM - 4PM.
Our efforts and expansion continue in providing rehabilitation services to all populations. We are expanding to include small farm animals in addition to our horses to be used in therapy. If you are skilled in carpentry, your guidance and support in the construction of fenced in petting and sheltered areas are greatly needed.
In addition to construction activities, many gardening projects are underway, a horse path that needs to be cleared, and trees in need of trimming. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served along with ice cold drinks. Please join us in making this exciting expansion a reality!
Training To Read
Nature's Place Therapy Services, Incorporated is pleased to introduce a new program that trains a person to read rather than attempting to teach a person to read. This is done using the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing (LIPS) program. Basically students hear, see, and feel the sound units of language thus influencing a person's ability to comprehend information. All ages with all reading capabilities are welcome.
