RisingStarsInc.com Is Pleasee To Present Multi-Talented Rock-n-Roll Recording Artists, Blue-Nowhere, to the World And Media.
Blue-Nowhere is a new band, but an experienced one. The performances are energetic and well rehearsed which is how it should be because their songs deserve no less. They have taken rock-n-roll, stripped it down, and put it back together adding pieces of themselves to it in the process. The end result is quite simply, phenomenal and the response to it has been tremendous. Blue-Nowhere has taken Birmingham by storm, and is ready to set their sites on the rest of the world.
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) July 27, 2003 -- Blue Nowhere is a mainstream rock band hailing from Birmingham, AL. The three members of the band bring with them years of experience both on the road and off, as well as an unquenchable thirst for music and performing it to its perfection. The band formed in October 2002 and immediately began writing songs and playing the local club circuit. Their relentless performing has led to quite a substantial following in the Birmingham area, as well as many other cities in Alabama, and an ever increasing interest by both indie and major labels.
"My father was a major influence on me. I grew up watching him play in various local bands. My father was also a musician who played guitar with several country artists on records and on television." states Mike Flippo, lead guitarist who began playing guitar at the tender age of 11.
Chris Macon, drummer, started taking music classes at the young age of nine. He played live for the first time at a church talent show at age thirteen and then played his first club show at the age of 14.
While Flip and Chris got an early start in this business, frontman Johnny Isbell didn't really get into music until college when his roommate at the time bought an acoustic guitar and began learning how to play it.
Johnny says "It looked like fun so I had to try it for myself and soon I got my very own acoustic guitar. Once I learned a few chords, I began putting music with my poetry and quickly discovered a wonderful new form of self expression. Songwriting."
Blue-Nowhere consists of Johnny Isbell on vocals and guitar, Mike Flippo on lead guitar, and Chris Macon on drums. They all have diverse backgrounds and influences which makes for some great music. Johnny is the primary songwriter of the group and his approach to writing is simple: if it feels good, do it. Their songs are very tasteful and have a melodic flow between lyrics and music that keeps the minds images vivid and the sound fresh and exciting. Johnny takes personal experiences and makes them universal so anyone, man or woman, young or old, can relate to and find solace in them.
This kind of songwriting coupled with a tight live performance has quickly led to Blue Nowhere becoming major players in the Birmingham market. They released their self titled EP in May which has already been receiving airplay on both college and major radio stations throughout the United States. They were featured artists on both 95.1FM the Fox in Montgomery, AL and 96.7FM the Buzzard in South Carolina, as well as being spotlighted on Tiger Radio Online in Myrtle Beach. The achievements are not the surprising part, its the fact that Blue Nowhere has existed for less than a year.
