CONNECTICUT CHILDRENS BURN CAMP ENJOYS A STRANGER DANGER SEMINAR FROM A LOCAL KARATE SCHOOL

Local Karate School teaches Child Safety, anti abduction and karate to CT Children's Burn Camp campers.

Auburn (PRWEB) July 28, 2003 -- McCoy's Action Karate brought Black Belt Schools Internationals Kids Smart Anti Abduction system to campers at Connecticuts Childrens Burn Camp in Union, Connecticut. Action Karates goal was to empower, educate and entertain the children with their Super Star team and senior instructors from both their Spencer and Auburn Schools. They did this by putting on a 20 minute high energy demonstration in coordination with The Institute of Martial Arts of Wallingford CT, and then teaching them a Stranger Danger" physical techniques seminar, as well as teaching the art of focus and power through wood breaking. One of the greatest fears that have entered the minds of parents in our country in the last 12 months is child abduction. Most societies, foundations organizations and businesses have been focusing on recovery of abducted children but Action Karate has taken the pro-active stance of bringing physical safety techniques to the children of the area.

Bringing physical safety to children is one of our main missions, but when you get to do with children as unique as these campers, you cant ask for much more," Paul McCoy, one of the owners, said of their afternoon at the camp. These children were excited to learn and then use these specially designed techniques," Paul said, they were a joy to teach."

Action Karate teaches its Stranger Danger" program freely to any organization for children, and has developed a system where children dont just hear it, but also experience the techniques and attitudes required to increase their personal safety in situations of abduction. Teaching at the Childrens Burn Camp was an opportunity to bring fun and skill to children that are both capable and in need.
