The IGLSA, the only international Snowsports association of its kind, will represent the interests of gay and lesbian Snowsports enthusiasts.

With their focus firmly on the full range of Snowsports, the IGLSA is set to launch a comprehensive membership package prior to the forthcoming northern hemisphere winter season. Members of the IGLSA will benefit from discounts on Snowsports related equipment/travel/accommodation, group holidays, access to resort reps, comprehensive online services, live weather and snow forecasts, resort and travel guides, and a lot more.

The IGLSA has had an online presence at www.gayskiers.org for the last six months, during which time the organisation has been inundated with thousands of enquiries regarding future membership.

We have received such a phenomenal amount of positive feedback so far from around the world via our current website, without it even being publicised, so we decided that the formation of the IGLSA should proceed without delay", says its founder Matt Hobbs.

Were now keen to get moving on putting together our membership package in advance of the next winter season, and also establishing relationships with corporate sponsors so that we can offer our members the very best we can".

There are so many gay and lesbian Snowsports enthusiasts out there, which is apparent from the number of popular gay ski weeks and associated travel companies around, but there is no peak representative body to offer them relevant member services. The IGLSA will assume that role and we look forward to bringing on members from all over the world", says Matt Hobbs.

The IGLSA has also been recently approached to participate in a taskforce established to pursue the possibility of holding the first ever Gay Winter Games.
