Inspireon Software Releases Partitioned Query for MySQL

Innovative Software Component for the .NET Environment Brings a New Level of Price-Performance to the Data Warehousing Arena

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) July 30, 2003 -- Inspireon Software, LLC - a developer of innovative software components that help companies solve critical Information Management challenges - today announced the release of Partitioned Query for MySQL, a component for the Microsoft .NET environment that brings the high performance and scalability of distributed partitioned queries to the MySQL database server.

With this powerful, innovative component, .NET developers can bring a new level of performance and scalability to their data warehousing, reporting, business analytics, and business intelligence applications at significantly reduced costs when compared to developing similar applications using the Enterprise versions of the Oracle, IBM DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server databases.

"Database partitioning and distributed partitioned queries can bring significant performance and manageability benefits to large data warehousing applications," said Jon Holland, President of Inspireon Software. "It is not unusual for partitioning to improve the performance of certain queries by an order of magnitude. And database partitioning can also significantly reduce data load and backup times as well. The Enterprise versions of the Oracle, IBM DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server databases all support database partitioning - but at a significant cost in terms of software licenses. Now, with the Partitioned Query for MySQL component, .NET developers can bring the power and scalability of distributed partitioned queries to the affordable, increasingly popular MySQL database server."

With the Partitioned Query for MySQL component, .NET developers can easily build a "shared-nothing" cluster of MySQL database servers, and partition their databases across the cluster nodes to significantly improve the performance and response time of user queries. As data and user volumes grow, they can easily and affordably scale-out their applications further by adding additional servers to the cluster.

The combination of the robust .NET development environment, the powerful, fast, low-cost MySQL database server, and the Partitioned Query for MySQL component brings a new level of price-performance to the data warehousing arena.

System Requirements
Partitioned Query for MySQL is a 100% managed-code component for the Microsoft .NET framework, and works with popular .NET programming languages including VB.NET and C#.NET. It is compatible with MySQL versions 3.23.51 through 3.23.57, and 4.0.12 through 4.0.13.

Pricing and Availability
Partitioned Query for MySQL is available immediately, and pricing starts at $295 per developer - with a royalty-free runtime for applications developed to run within the developers company. Quantity discounts are available for multiple developers within a company, and a free 30-day, fully-functional Evaluation version can be downloaded from the companys website.
