Where is Saddam Hussein? Floridians' Hilarious New Song, Saddam The Pig Who Never Returned, Answers Very Timely Question!

Four months after the invasion of Iraq and days after the death of his evil sons, there is still speculation about whether Saddam Hussein is alive or dead, hiding in Syria in or decaying in the Baghdad subways. In South Florida, David Citron and Gary Lawrence have recorded a crazy but very timely song, Saddam, The Pig Who Never Returned, to humorously answer that question at last.

Parkland, FL -- Four months after the invasion of Iraq and days after the death of his evil sons, there is still speculation about whether Saddam Hussein is alive or dead, hiding in Syria in or decaying in the Baghdad subways.

In South Florida, David Citron and Gary Lawrence have recorded a crazy but very timely song, Saddam, The Pig Who Never Returned, to humorously answer that question at last. It's a parody of that subway-related song that the Kingston Trio made famous, MTA.

In a style that has been favorably compared to both Allan Sherman and the Smothers Brothers, David Citron and Gary Lawrence make fun of politicians, Hollywood celebrities, CNN, UN inspectors, public transportation, Jeffrey Dahmer, and, of course, Saddam and his dastardly sons. His late dastardly sons.

Citron reminds people that buying this CD is good for the economy. The CD's label says "PLEASE! don't copy or upload this CD! Proceeds from the sale of this CD will help feed one starving writer and one starving musician! Instead of copying, please buy lots of CDs for your friends to help us AND the American economy! Go to www.GLPMUSIC.com. Thank you!"

Also on this CD is a bonus track, The Who To Vote For List, written and performed by David Citron at the Yellow Feathers comedy show, a charity fund-raising comedy show in October 2000 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Who To Vote For List is a parody of Gilbert and Sullivan's I've Got A Little List, from their operetta H.M.S. Pinafore.

For more information, to listen to excerpts of both songs, or to order your own CD, go to http://www.univox.com/radio/saddam8.html and click on the picture of Saddam.

About The Artists

Citron, a long-time Floridian, is a freelance journalist and copywriter who thinks he can sing. He mostly writes user manuals when he's not writing funny stuff. Since 1995. Citron has been webmaster of the South Florida Radio Pages (http://www.univox.com/radio), the most comprehensive source of radio programming info in South Florida.

Gary Lawrence is an accomplished pianist and bandleader of Gary Lawrence and his Sizzling Syncopators. Since moving from NYC to Florida in 1978, he has been the leader of two radio orchestras, the WFTL Orchestra and the WLQY "Music of Your Life" Orchestra (both performing Big Band Swing), and ran his own successful booking agency.

Lawrence has performed with music industry legends including Mel Torme, Sammy Davis Jr., Shirley Bassey, Tiny Tim, John Raitt, Mickey Katz, and The Epstein Brothers. Although Lawrence has a diverse repertoire of jazz, classical, big band, and popular music, his specialty is arranging and performing modern music in the style of the 1920s. He has recorded albums on LP, cassette, and CD -- but no 8-track.
