Tel Aviv, Israel (PRWEB) August 1, 2003 -- Net-Intent Ltd., a leading provider of solutions for Enterprise Knowledge Management, announced today that three new iFilters are now available for use with MS Indexing Services. IFilters run a contextual index on files and extend Microsoft Index Server's ability to extract metadata from files. IFilters can be used with Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, Microsoft Site Server and all other products based on Microsoft Index Server
The three new iFilters enable seamless index crawling through MS-Project MPP files; Solidworks *.SLDPRT, *.SLDDRW files, *.prt ProEngineering files and allow full-text queries to retrieve both knowledge and content.
Net-Intent's CTO, Mr. Yogev Peled, informed us that the new iFilters cover large areas of files that were previously unreachable by Indexing Services and their important content was therefore unavailable for use by knowledge management systems. The new tools offer substantial enhancements for tools that are in frequent use in R&D and major development projects.
