She's come a long way baby...from her beginnings as a singer-songwriter in the exciting mid-1970's music scene in Detroit, Michigan where she was formerly known as "Tarey Knop," to winning awards and appearing on prestigious radio shows around the country.

Tarey Wolf is no stranger to the limelight. She appeared regularly on radio and television in the Motor City before she made her pilgrimage to Los Angeles to participate in an ASCAP writer's workshop facilitated by noted songwriters, Arthur Hamilton and Annette Taylor. Fellow ASCAP workshopper Jason Blume has just published a bestselling book, "6 Steps To Songwriting Success" and speaks of that workshop in the introduction.

In Los Angeles Wolf met and performed top venues with many of her favorite artists including Melissa Etheridge, Teresa Trull, Lisa Nemzo, Harriet Schock, and Sandy Ross.

How does she feel now that the buzz is about her?

"Just grateful that opportunity, inspiration and grace all matrixed here with my passion for writing good music. Avenues are opening via the internet and are helping to create new outlets for my music; new alliances are forming across the country and in Europe right now with fabulous collaborators. In fact, I am part of an online collaboration community I founded called SongwritersGang.com. The energy and output is amazing. My next CD release will be more an exercise in restraint - so many new great songs to choose from!"

When can we start looking for this exciting new CD?

"I am pushing for the end of the year - 2003. But I know better than predict a date. It will come from the soul, no matter what, and I hope people like the new material as much as I do."
