(PRWEB) August 1, 2003 -- BCRN (BookCrazy Radio Network) started as a way for popular AM radio book-themed programs to be heard around the world. BookCrazy creator and CEO Debbie Neckel was part of a popular AM show in Phoenix Arizona, while Delores Thornton with the Around 2 It" show transferred to BookCrazy from a local station in Indiana. With over 30 show hosts and reviewers BookCrazy has become a popular home for many shows to do it their way."
Typically book review and author interview programs are heard on local AM talk stations. The book shows are more liberal than most conservative programs heard on AM radio. Even so, they manage to find a good listening audience and receive popular ratings. The problems arise when the shows are made to conform to stricter conservative guidelines.
BookCrazy Radio Network opened the doors to a wide variety of book programs from Christian based (Shades Radio with LaShaunda Hoffman, Iowa) to Eroticism (On the Wild Side with Jena Bacarr, California) to Paranormal Research (Ghost Trackers with Melody Bussey and Jeff Reynolds, Florida.) BCRN also covers many book genres from poetry to romance. For authors they offer shows about writing (Authors Secrets Radio with Vijaya Schartz, Arizona) and publishing (Quiet Storm Radio with Clint Gaige and Darla Shoemaker, Virginia.) These shows have found a comfortable home and also a large exclusive audience of book readers and writers.
While Internet radio is not FCC licensed, BookCrazy does offer guidelines for acceptable programming. Bad language, strong sexual content and unkind remarks toward any religion are not tolerated. We won't appeal to every reader but our goal is to offer great quality book programming to the majority." Quotes Ms. Neckel.
New shows and ideas are part of the increasing growth rate of BookCrazy. The Books to Music" show has generated interest. It has opened eyes to book related music from song verse taken off the pages of classic literature to lyrics about reading and writing. Plans to offer weekly book commentary from over 40 countries around the world are also underway.
BCRN offers FREE and inexpensive ways for authors to promote their books. Any author can submit a tape about their work, up to 15-minutes in length including web site, order information and excerpts. BookCrazy airs the tapes at no charge. You can visit BookCrazy.net/tte.html for more information.
With popular low cost advertising packages authors connect directly to the reading community and dont waste money on the non-literary population.
BookCrazy Radio is on the fast track with an Internet traffic ranking increase of over 400,000 in the past three months. BookCrazy.net is considered a site to watch and a station that must be heard!
