(PRWEB) August 2, 2003 -- Xybernaut(R) Corporation (NASDAQ: XYBR) and ZNQ3 Inc. today announced a teaming agreement under which mobile wearable computing solutions by Xybernaut will be secured by ZNQ3's key agile cryptography and dynamic authentication technologies.
The combined product will provide highly improved tactical solutions for law enforcement and emergency first responder customers.
Under terms of the agreement, ZNQ3 and Xybernaut are already working together to integrate and deploy the mobile secure platforms. The joint solutions are being offered on the Xybernaut Mobile Assistant(R) V (MA(R) V) and Atigo(TM) wearable computers. Initial deployments will be focused on the homeland defense and emergency first responder markets.
The companies are also concentrating on larger law enforcement customers that will benefit from increased situational awareness during crises and secure day-to-day mobile computing operations. A typical customer, for example, who might be responding to a hostage situation, would greatly benefit from a Xybernaut mobile wearable computer with ZNQ3's ipDefense(TM) and WinTalker(TM) products. With ZNQ3 security embedded, Xybernaut devices can offer real-time secure communications over a variety of industry standard networks.
"The secure communications and point-of-task computing power afforded by the joint Xybernaut/ZNQ3 solution allows First Responders complete access to information providing critical situational awareness during a crisis," said Jeffrey Stutzman, Founder and CEO of ZNQ3, Inc. "With access to maps, alarm status, dispatch, procedures and real-time team resource positions, First Responders can make faster and better decisions. Plus, at the same time, they can provide valuable information for post event analysis and training. This comprehensive solution enables First Responders to be responsive at the most critical moment when lives are on the line."
Both companies are leaders in their respective markets--Xybernaut in mobile wearable computing, and ZNQ3 in mobile communications security solutions. The companies have worked together to integrate the Xybernaut Mobile Assistant(R) V (MA(R) V) and Atigo(TM) mobile wearable computers with ZNQ3's ipDefense(TM) and WinTalker(TM) mobile security products.
