GNU BIS Lauches Free, Open Source Software for Public Relations
GNU BIS announces a new free, web based open source software for Public Relations and Communication companies who need to collect and manage information from different sources in real time.
2003-08-04 - Brazilian company GNU BIS announces a new free, web based open source software for Public Relations and Communication companies who need to collect and manage information from different news sources in real time.
The new system is available under the GNU GPL licence, offering freedom to run, copy, distribute, study, change and improve the software.
"Our goal is to enable new business opportunities with Free/Open Source Software, in the same way that projects like GNU/Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL and Perl are creating opportunities all around the world" says Nelson Ferraz, GNU BIS Chief Technology Officer.
Users are free to redistribute copies, either with or without modifications, either gratis or charging a fee for distribution, to anyone anywhere.
