Publisher signs 7-year contract with Latino Writer Ramón Zayas for his much-anticipated memoir, Spare Parts.

Miami, Florida August 01, 2003

When asked by his agent Andrew Hamilton of Cleveland, Ohio why Ramón should write this book, Ramón replied, I was inspired to write Spare Parts after viewing movies like Traffic, 28 Days and Raising Arizona to name a few. I was inspired because those movies told a story about hardships, self-inspection, rejection, forgiveness and recovery".

Spare Parts is not a12 step guide to recovery but rather an all encompassing look at personal tragedy and the skill sets required to overcome them."

Multi million dollar fraud, the FBI, witness protection and a Therapeutic Community called Future House in Alaska all play very important roles in this book which is filled with great characters such as Fast Eddie, a murdered pimp, Bruce, a pedophile, Gordon the Director and a host of others.

Aptly named, Spare Parts was a Learning Experience from Future House that bordered on torture and humiliation but was instrumental in the building of a new life.

The Spanish language edition of Spare Parts is in the editorial process now, however the English version will be released in late August and will be available through all major booksellers.
