Prince George's Dean Supporters to Participate in National Letter Writing Campaign aimed at New Hampshire Voters
Grassroots Dean Campaign Organizers Answer Questions and Welcome Volunteers at Greenbelts New Deal Café Wednesday, August 6th
GREENBELT, MD -- On August 6, 2003, Howard Dean supporters in Prince Georges County will join with Dean supporters across the country to write personalized letters to 40,000 New Hampshire primary voters. Dean MeetUp members will launch the "New Hampshire Neighbors" program to help build a national community and to bring more Americans back into the political process.
At over 340 locations across America, including Greenbelt, thousands of Dean supporters will "meet up" to write letters about their reasons for supporting Howard Dean and asking their fellow Americans in New Hampshire to consider supporting Governor Dean in Januarys New Hampshire primary. Building on the success of the Adopt-an-Iowan program in July, New Hampshire Neighbors is another step in Governor Deans effort to restore American community, one American at a time.
"We are building the greatest grassroots campaign of the modern era," said New Hampshire State Director Karen Hicks. "The combination of MeetUp and old-fashioned hand-written letters allows people nationwide to become involved in the neighborto-neighbor organizing that is essential to winning in New Hampshire."
