Morgan law firm continues fraudulent advertising practices

Florida Conservative Alliance has started running television commericials in florida. This organization was actually set up last week by the Morgan, Colling and Gilbert law firm.

A new organization, calling itself Florida Conservative Alliance, Inc., has started running television commercials in several media markets in the state of florida. The ads are "man-on-the-street" interviews with Republicans who support caps on taxes but are opposed to caps in medical liability cases. They say they disagree with Governor Bush on this issue but they are still good Republicans.
After being made aware of these ads, I checked the website of the Division of Corporations (Florida Department of State) to see if I could find out more information about this organization. It turns out that this group, Florida Conservative Alliance, was formed on July 25, 2003 by a trial lawyer named Alexander Clem. Mr. Clem is the President-Elect of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers and is a member of the Morgan Colling and Gilbert law firm in Orlando. One of the other Directors of Florida Conservative Alliance is trial lawyer, Michael Haggard. For those of you who are not aware, Mr. Haggard's sister serves on the staff of Senate President Jim King and is a major advisor to the Senate on this issue.
