National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators to Update Salary Model

CHESS, Inc. chosen to update financial aid administrator salary model.

WILMINGTON, NC (PRWEB) August 5, 2003 -- Center for Higher Education Support Services, Inc. (CHESS), a higher education consulting firm specializing in financial aid management and legal issues, today announced it has been chosen to update the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators' Salary Model.

CHESS will work with NASFAA's Research Committee to update the NASFAA Salary Model beginning this month. The Salary Model allows financial aid staff at postsecondary education institutions to compare salary levels by region, institutional enrollment size, education level, and other factors. The current salary model was created by Mark Williams and last updated in 1999. It predicts normative salary levels for an individual based upon years of experience, job title, school type and location and other factors. The update will allow aid administrators to compare salaries in a much more timely and accurate manner.

To conduct the study, NASFAA will ask Member institutions to complete a very brief Web-based survey. The survey is already pre-loaded with data from other sources. It will therefore take less than five minutes for most respondents to complete the information.

Funding to support the Salary Model is provided by NASFAA's Sponsored Research Grant Program.
