Production of her next project the feature film, Gangsta Mafia," was dramatically halted when the City of Compton suddenly revoked their shooting permits. She was to play Sophia Villanova, the wife of a Mafia Don, played by Joey Buttafuoco, but the City of Compton refused to have a film with Joey B. shoot in their 'hood. Additionally, Joanne Newborn is slated to play the supporting role of Krista, a head writer for a major studio, in the upcoming feature film Quintessence" (Tracys Tasties Productions).
