Bronx, New York (PRWEB) August 8, 2003 -- On August 09, 2003, from 1:00 PM -- 9:00 PM, Salem Temple Assemblies of God Church, located at 1408 Bryant Avenue in the Bronx, hosts their ninth annual Rap Fest. This event features 26 Rap Ministries (groups) from various cities, states and countries. This years confirmed artists include Beatrax [NY], Brothers Inc. [NY], Carriers of the Cross [NJ], The Cross Movement [PA], Flavor Alliance [FL], I.D.O.L. King [CA], Jah Word [CA], Much Luvv Fam [TX], Shekinah [NJ], SoldiaSove [France], Sons of God [NY], Vizunari [CT], Shabach [NY], Prodigal Son [PA], Street Sweepers [MD], Raw Srvnt [FL], Elle Rock [GA], Hazakim [OH], Hoshama Music Group [VA], Kidd The Warrior [NE], Todd Bangz [NJ], Sincere Israel [NJ] and more.

There will be a host of DeeJays, such as DJ Official [Cross Movement], DJ NuMan [Salem Coffee House], DJ Vaungh [DC], Graffiti Artist RAIM [FL], and Break-dancers as well. All participants will be displaying, not only their talents and passion for the hip hop origins, but their love for God and desire to worship Him with their talents and abilities.

Last year, approximately 4,500 people, throughout the course of the day, visited Rap Fest 2002. Due to heavy promotion via the Internet, radio, television and great news spreading by word of mouth, we anticipate even a higher attendance this year. This is a free outdoor event for everyone. Rap Fest 2003 features 30,000 Watts of sound, 26 Rap Ministries, 8 Hours of music, all for 1 God, Jesus Christ. Rap Fests goal is to evangelize the community through hip hop music and offer them an opportunity to trust in God as a solution to their everyday problems and help in their times of trouble.

Worldwide attention, by way of the Internet, has helped this event grow from 50 people (who attended the 1st one 9 years ago) to over 3,000-4,500 people in most recent events. We strive to make an impact in lives and pray that peoples lives will change for the best through our combined efforts.
