NEWPORT, RI (PRWEB) August 8, 2003 -- LiveWave®, Inc and Raytheon Company announce that they will be jointly exhibiting at this years Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Conference in Indianapolis on August 10th-14th. LiveWave, a leading developer of digital video and cam control systems, will be exhibiting its FirstView® digital video technologies on board the Raytheon First Responder Command and Communications Vehicle (FRCCV).
Designed for dispatch to emergency situations, Raytheons First Responder is a cutting edge mobile command center capable of self-contained wireless, satellite, cell phone, video and radio communications. The vehicle is equipped with LiveWaves FirstView® video system which allows for real-time streaming video to be fed from remote cameras to the First Responder and then easily distributed to local, state and federal authorities.
Mobile fly-away robotic camera systems set up at the scene can be controlled remotely by the FirstResponder or field personnel with mobile PCs. Video and camera control hierarchy assures that authorized officials can usurp access and direct the rescue efforts. This type of instant visual communication becomes essential for first responders in the field and reduces risk to both the public and their teams.
LiveWave's FirstView® and VirtualPerimeter software supports a wide range of robotic camera packages from leading manufacturers and enables interoperability among users to view video and control cameras in real-time on standard PCs and wireless mobile handheld devices. Authorized personnel, both locally and remotely, are then able to view high quality video and control cameras via secure networks to better assess potential threats and respond appropriately to reduce risk.
The Raytheon First Responder equipped with LiveWaves FirstView® digital video technologies will be on display at the APCO Conference in Indianapolis, IN from August 11th -14th at booth 1223 in the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome.
