Women wonder is it all worth it.

Long hours, poor recognition, lack of respect and male dominated toxic cultures are taking their toll as women increasingly question 'Is it all really worth it?

(PRWEB) August 8, 2003 -- Summer is here and women are taking time out to reflect on their lives and careers. Aurora Gender Capital Management, an organisation that benchmarks where women want to work has found that 72% of working women are asking the question 'Is it all really worth it?

Todays women want to work in companies that are ahead of the game and are eradicating their toxic cultures. Women have always relied on word-of-mouth to recommend where to work. In response to this Aurora has launched a free one-stop shop resource for women to research and compare the best companies to work for. The resource -- 'Where women want to work - tells women everything that companies are doing to attract and retain females (www.www2wk.com).

Thousands of graduates and experienced working women are already using the resource to identify top organisations. Companies such as Citigroup, HSBC, PricewaterhouseCoopers, IBM and Morgan Stanley are using the resource to showcase all their achievements to women.

Around 84% of women have a very clear idea of what they want from a company. According to Aurora the No.1 criteria magnetizing women to companies is good corporate values. No. 2 criteria is a presence of happy women employees. No.3 is a good track record in attracting and retaining females. No.4 is a companys progressive, contemporary view of women. No.5 is a companys understanding of the economic importance for having more women in the workforce.

Auroras latest research has found that women who start their career in the right company are more happy, less stressed and at least 25% financially better off later down the track.
