St. Johns, Newfoundland (PRWEB) August 9, 2003 -- Vulcan Minerals Inc. (the Company" TSX: VUL) announces that the TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing all documentation in respect to a non-brokered private placement of 250,000 units with proceeds of $50,000.00 announced on July 23, 2003.

The placement has closed and the securities are subject to a one-year hold period expiring on July 30, 2004.

Proceeds will be used for working capital and no finders-fee is payable.
