California Recall Merchandise Should Prove Popular

Vigorous demand anticipated for "Hasta la Vista, Davis" limerick t-shirts, mugs, etc.

ST. LOUIS, MO -- Pugnacious t-shirt maker F.R. Duplantier expects his Governor Gray Davis Recall merchandise to fly off the shelves, following the August 6th announcement by actor Arnold Schwarzenegger of his candidacy for governor of California. The t-shirts, mugs, and other specialty items feature an original limerick penned by Duplantier that includes numerous references to Schwarzenegger films.

HASTA LA VISTA, DAVIS!
There's a predator primed to replace you,
But this running man won't have to face you,
'Cause you're destined to fall
In the total recall
Californians contrived to erase you.

"Hasta la Vista, Davis!" t-shirts, mugs, and bumper stickers are the latest additions to an array of manic merchandise available at the Politickles Shop, a new online emporium established by Duplantier, syndicated columnist and author of the book Politickles, a collection of political limericks.

Online auction giant eBay has banned Duplantier's most popular t-shirt from its website. The "Osama bin Rodham" shirt combines the names and likenesses of New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Duplantier describes the composite image as "two terrorists in one."
