August, 2003 -- Were proud to announce the second Novel of Andrew Berubee, Faerie Hunters, a work of Fantasy, has been sold to PublishAmerica based in Frederick Maryland. With the recent signing of contracts, Faerie Hunters is expected to be released some time within the next year.

The story of Faerie Hunters tells of a hidden land, needing only a single drop of blood to see its destruction. It also tells of many who seek it, some knowingly, others not.
With Crandles world crumbled, he takes his Guild across the seas to find a new world and new challenges. But the challenges of this new world will test his Guild, his friends, and Crandle himself. Others in this new world have agendas of their own. The red-haired Elf, the possessor, or possessed, of the Diamond, has been set upon a task of finding three people, one of them a Dragon. He follows them south, watching and waiting for the right moments. These three, three that by no rights should ever be together, much less get along, find their answers in the hidden land.
And this hidden land? What of its fate with so many seeking it? In the end, will it see the light of the sky, will it perish from the face of the planet or will it disappear, only waiting for the time of its rebirth?

Mr. Berubees first novel, Ripple Effect, is currently available to order in book stores as well as on all the online stores and PublishAmericas website, www.publishamerica.com . Ripple Effect has also just been released in e-book format. The cost is $5.95 per copy from PublishAmerica.

Ripple Effect is a 6 x 9, 518 page, Trade Paperback novel that retails for $27.95. The ISBN is 1-591129-318-9. This information for Faerie Hunters has not yet been determined.

Andrew Berubee is a local author living in Lakeville, Minnesota. He has lived in Minnesota now for 11 years, working at the Mall of America for the first five of those. Since then, he has been working odd jobs, making just enough money to pay the bills while he has tried to make his ambitions come to pass. Ripple Effect, and now Faerie Hunters, represent his determination.

He is available to do interviews and would be willing to discuss other options. We would appreciate the possibility of your doing a review of the novel. If you would like to do that, the author can provide you with a copy of the novel or you can send an email to Authors@publishamerica.com and request one. Interview questions concerning either book would be appropriate but he is not tied to that type of interview. He is very willing to do interviews that have nothing to do with the work itself, as long as we can plug the novel and its availability. That can be discussed.

Review
On the Blue Planet, a prophecy is about to happen. Four children born to the powerful Redfire wizard Elvet and his wife Lana, are gathered and separated. The two immortals are forced to fend for themselves in the wilds of the planet. The others are given foster homes, unaware of their true destiny.

Below in the festering, raging fire of the Deadworld, the demon Arcana has received a most undesirable fate: expulsion to the Land of the Living. Reluctantly he takes up with an assortment of characters as he adjusts to his exile.

Elsewhere, in a village stringent with their regulations, the lady Pita hopes to start a new life in a new land, but finds it difficult to do when she refuses to abide the wishes of an amorous innkeeper. Falsely accused of a crime, she too is forced into exile.

Reading through Andrew Berubee's ambitious Ripple Effect, one may wonder what each character has to do with the other. Indeed, on Berubee's website it is revealed that the novel is in actuality a volume of interwoven stories (Berubee's website is a good companion for the book; as numerous characters are introduced throughout the first third of Ripple Effect, Berubee provides an effective online scorecard), and the patient reader will come to understand how the actions in each story arc effect the others, thereby explaining the "ripple effect" and the fruition of the prophecy.

Author Berubee writes with a meticulous style, a knack for world-building and characterization (injected with occasional moments of humor) certain to attract readers of science fiction and fantasy and fans of epics.
