CHILD ADVOCACY GROUP IN FINANCIAL FRAUD SUIT

Leading Contributor, Philanthropist Phillip J. Kronzer of the Kronzer Foundation, Seeks Accounting from the International Humanitarian Campaign Against the Exploitation of Children (IHCAEC) For Six-Figure Donation. Lawsuit in San Mateo County (CA) Cites Whistleblowers that Former CNN journalist and IHCAEC CEO Christine Dolan Diverted Earmarked Funds Toward "Unknown Purpose".

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA (PRWEB) August 10, 2003 - In a lawsuit filed on Friday, August 8, 2003 in San Mateo, California, the International Humanitarian Campaign Against the Exploitation of Children (IHCAEC), a non-profit organization led by former CNN journalist Christine Dolan, stands accused of failing to provide an accounting of donations amid suspicions of misappropriation and financial improprieties involving more than $270,000.

The allegations were made in a lawsuit filed on Friday by the Phillip J. Kronzer Foundation, a substantial contributor to the IHCAEC and led by Northern California philanthropist and anti-fraud crusader Phillip J. Kronzer.

The lawsuit alleges that over an 11 month period, the Kronzer Foundation provided the IHCAEC with in excess of $270,000 for joint projects aimed at fighting child abuse within the Catholic Church.

After ending his association with the IHCAEC in December 2002, Kronzer was told by two former supporters of the Massachusetts-based organization that Dolan had diverted more than $25,000 of the funds earmarked for the joint projects for her own use.

Attempting to resolve the matter through a simple accounting of how the funds were spent, the Kronzer Foundation made no less than five separate attempts in late 2002 through 2003 to contact the IHCAEC by letters addressed to CEO Christine Dolan and counsel Joseph L. Doherty. All correspondence was ignored.

To date, the IHCAEC has never provided the Kronzer Foundation with an accounting of the funds, the suit alleges, and the organization has not complied with requests to provide either a Federal tax ID number or even a written statement attesting to their non-profit status. The suit seeks a full accounting of the sum donated by the Kronzer Foundation, a refund of the balance, court costs and interest.
