Cnotes Records, a local recording company is doing big things for the community of Dallas by hosting a community oriented talent contest, showcase, hair show and fashion show all in one in which proceeds will benefit the N.A.A.C.P.

Arlington, Texas -- August, 2003 -- Cnotes Records, a local recording company is doing big things for the community of Dallas by hosting a community oriented talent contest, showcase, hair show and fashion show all in one in which proceeds will benefit the N.A.A.C.P.

The Confunktion II is a function designed to help our youth with musical talent be able to have a place to perform, as well as help local businesses obtain more business and network with other companies in their field.

A talent contest primarily, the Confunktion II was originally invented to assist local talent in showcasing those musical gifts. There are so many gifted people just walking the streets of Dallas", says the CEO of the company. We just want to give them an opportunity to perform that they might not have otherwise. It also helps local record label executives find new, local talent. Many of these people dont know much about the music industry, nor do they have the contacts to get them to the next level. The Confunktion II solves more than just one problem. It helps us all."

Cnotes Records did not just want to stop there. Seeing an opportunity to also help local businesses network with other local businesses and acquire more clientele, they decided to add a vendor tradeshow. The tradeshow will host a number of items for sale to the public for below retail prices.

The Confunktion II will also present a fashion show and hair show, helping independent fashion designers and beauticians to showcase their talents and acquire more clientele.

The Extravaganza will be not only a benefit to our community by getting our kids off the streets and on to the stage, but it will also help local businesses.
Its a win-win situation for all involved. The N.A.A.C.P. will receive a portion of CD Sales and of ticket sales, to help further their cause of helping our community. The Confunktion II is a unique function and Cnotes Records is clearly going to set new standards in the music industry with this idea. Other record labels are warming up to the idea of helping the community, and are following the path set by a record label who makes waves and does what no other record labels are doing... Giving back.

Cnotes Records has been in business in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 1998, and has vowed from the beginning to help the community in which they grew up and lived. This is the 3rd fundraiser that they have hosted, and has helped many other organizations, and is a record label dedicated to helping our community.
