New Web Site Features Indonesian Culture Handicrafts from artists in Bali
New web site features exotic handicrafts from artists in Bali, Indonesia. Items include wood carvings from Indonesian culture such as Jatayu, the fearless King of Birds, and Garudas
August, 2003 -- Our new web site featuring handicrafts form Bali, Indonesia is now fully operational," states Cultural Artifacts founder, Trevor Dodd.
The Cultural Artifacts web site http://www.culturalartifacts.com/index.html focuses predominantly on wood carvings imported directly from artists in Bali, Indonesia."
These artists constantly and consistently produce beautiful and innovative handicrafts. For instance, the superb hand carved and painted mask, portraying Jatayu, fearless King of Birds from the Wayang Wong drama, is unequalled," continues Dodd
Jatayu, sacrificed his life trying to rescue Sita from the clutches of Rawana. His brave and passionate nature is expressed in his vibrant eyes, spiky teeth, and snakelike tongue, and a gold-crowned forehead proclaims his nobility.
Each item in our catalog was personally selected. Our intent is to make it possible for lovers of hand-made crafts to own exotic, expressive pieces of art at very affordable prices," concludes Dodd.
