Radford, Virginia (PRWEB) August 11, 2003 -- Bill Hands DragonChild, the third book in the Redaemian Chronicles, mixes comedy, drama, magic and intrigue. In this 317 page fantasy, join Tekel, a young 14-year-old boy who fled his abusive home to pursue his dreams of heroic wealth and fame, and his inner struggle between slaying dragons and befriending one.

Untold thousands have died, the landscape ravaged and Castle Pentatute's mighty walls left in ruins. The worst is over. Quad, the young, untried king of Redaemus, armed only with a desperate faith in a man seen by no one, has found the Oneprince. He" has smashed the power of Demio, the spirit-things and the rebel forces. The revolution is over, and the kingdom is saved.

Or is it? Kind, generous Quad has a stubborn, impatient side that can only lead to trouble. The underground city of Yerushela, the kingdoms center of religion and learning, is still under rebel control. Quad cannot forget his peoples horrible suffering, but at what costs will he go to stop it?

Meanwhile, on the island kingdom of Dagon, a run-away boy named Tekel joins the fight against dragons because of his excellence with a bow and his skill with his tongue. Armed with the Dragon Arrow, a magical weapon guaranteed to slay dragons, given to him by a mysterious prophet, Tekel cannot bring himself to use it and instead befriends the last of the free dragons, Elymas.

Through a pact made hundreds of years past, the dragons traded their self-will in exchange for immortality, the ability to communicate telepathically and to breathe fire. But the free-spirited Elymas chafes under the possession of her spirit, and longs to have a relationship with Tekel. She tells Tekel of a wonderful plan that will free both far-away Yerushela and her fellow dragons at home, enslaved in the dungeons beneath King Cinatas castle.

But dragons have not been allowed into Redaemus for a thousand years, and only the king can give them permission to arrive. Elymas sends Tekel as a dragon-emissary to propose the dragon's plan and gain permission for her to enter the land.

But is her plan as helpful as it sounds? Or is it the opening gambit in a nefarious game to overcome the king and his kingdom?

Be prepared to laugh, cry and be left breathless in this morality tale about temptation, pride and the price of sin that relates the history of a fantasy kingdom where rats and badgers reason and speak as people do.
