2003 FHSAA FOOTBALL OFFICIALS FIELD CLINIC IS JUST FIVE DAYS AWAY
Football Officials To Meet In Tampa Bay, August 15th -- 17th
August 10 2003
Tampa, Florida...While thousands of high school football players will take to the field for the start of football practices at FHSAA member high schools this week, the very game officials that will share the field with them on Friday nights will be hitting the classroom and field August 15th, 16th and 17th while attending the 2003 Florida High School Athletic Association Football Officials Field Clinic. Collegiate, NFL Europe and Arena Football League officials will conduct the three-day training program. This is a great opportunity for officials to get personal attention and focus on areas that need improvement," said Tom Symonette a clinic clinician who just finished his season as a line judge in NFL Europe. There will be so much for these guys to grasp. Three days may not be enough!" Symonette also works in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). He will be heavily involved throughout the weekend with his fellow clinicians working on improving the attendees communication skills, overall mechanics and rule enforcement. The clinic also features a golf outing and a host of vendors and exhibitors.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel, east Tampa / Sabal Park will serve as the headquarters for the clinic as well as the site for all classroom sessions and lodging accommodations for out of town officials.
