DALLAS, TX (PRWEB) August 13, 2003 - The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce's monthly Hot Topics/Cool Lunch series will feature a 90-minute discussion and workshop exclusively devoted to business presentation skills, August 14, 2003. 12 to 1:30 p.m., at the chamber's office, 10707 Preston Road, Dallas. Registration is $5 per person for chamber members and $10 for non-members.
Amy Harris, President, SmallByte WORKSHOPS, will provide participants with practical advice as well as a practice session and group feedback opportunities. The informal workshop setting will include tips on creating and delivering presentations, as well as developing post-presentation action plans. SmallByte WORKSHOPSs is an Addison-based management consulting and training firm that specializes in compressed, accelerated learning formats.
"I would like for everyone who comes to this workshop to take away at least one new presentation technique that they are willing to incorporate in their next business or sales presentation. Whether it is eye contact, body movement, voice tone or how to develop presentation content, each of these requires practice to master and it is my hope we start that practice in the workshop," said Harris, who has more than 20 years experience in training and corporate management in the telecommunications industry.
"We are pleased to offer our membership with a top-notch professional who is experienced in delivering presentations before various size audiences. The art of delivering an effective and to-the-point presentation is a critical skill for small business owners and managers to master and we are delighted to have an experienced professional like Amy share her knowledge with our membership," said Carol Asel Short, Vice President, Public Affairs, North Dallas Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to the Networking Skills Workshop, the North Dallas Chamber sponsors several networking monthly events, including A.M. Exchange, Networking Skills Workshop, North Dallas After Hours and VIP Coffee.
The Hot Topics/Cool Lunch series has been presented every month for the past 12 years. The event is sponsored by Comerica Bank-Texas and the Dallas Business Journal.
