EXTOL International Signs Partnership Agreement With UCCnet

EXTOL International Completes Certification of AS2 Communications Software and UCCnet Implementation Services

POTTSVILLE, PA and PRINCETON, N.J. (PRWEB) August 14, 2003 -- UCCnet, a not-for-profit organization that provides product registry and data synchronization services, has announced that EXTOL International has joined the UCCnet Alliance Partner program and completed certification of its EXTOL Secure AS2 communications product and UCCnet Implementation services.

The UCCnet Alliance Partner program enables alliance partners to provide integrated collaborative commerce solutions to the expanding UCCnet community. The program certifies partners, such as EXTOL International, to provide best-in-class knowledge, resources and tools that enable UCCnet subscribers to implement UCCnet GLOBALregistry® and data synchronization quickly, efficiently and cost effectively.

EXTOL Secure supports these customer goals by providing secure, compliant AS2 communications on OS/400 and other platforms, with unsurpassed integration and configuration flexibility. In addition, EXTOL Professional Services now offers certified assistance in designing and building compliant UCCnet integration solutions.

EXTOL International is pleased to announce the completion of UCCnet certification for our EXTOL Secure AS2 software product and UCCnet implementation services", said Dennis Bonagura, President and COO of EXTOL International. Along with other UCCnet offerings in our pipeline, EXTOL uniquely satisfies the demand for complete, end-to-end integration solutions for UCCnet and other B2B application areas."

An industry study conducted by A.T. Kearney estimated that $40 billion, or 3.5 percent, of total sales lost each year are due to supply chain information inefficiencies. Specifically, the study showed that 30 percent of items in retail catalogs have data errors, which cost between $60 and $80 each and consume 25 minutes of manual cleansing per SKU. Other findings revealed that 60 percent of all invoices generated errors and 43 percent of all invoices resulted in deductions.

To alleviate these costly errors, UCCnet enables registration and synchronization of product information, such as weight and dimensions, by providing a repository for standardized item, location and trading partner data. Suppliers load item, location and trading partner information into the UCCnet GLOBALregistry®. UCCnet checks the data for compliance to industry standards and synchronizes it with demand side partners ensuring that all trading partners are using identical, updated, standards-compliant data.
