MENC: The National Association for Music Education Listed in 2003 Combined Federal Campaign
Federal Government Employees Given Opportunity to Support Music Education
RESTON, VA (PRWEB) August 14, 2003 -- MENC: The National Association for Music Education announces its inclusion in the 2003 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The CFC is an annual fund-raising drive conducted by federal employees and military personnel to raise millions of dollars to benefit thousands of non-profit charities.
MENC will be listed in the 2003 donor brochure as number 1167 under National/International Unaffiliated Agencies." This years solicitation period (the time period during which employees can sign up to donate) is September1 to December 15. Donations to MENC through the CFC will support MENCs mission to advance music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all. Initiatives include free resources for music educators and advocacy campaigns to help ensure schools provide all children standards-based, sequential music education taught by qualified music teachers.
