Patkus Brothers will be one of the sponsors of the Chalk It Up to Sacramento festival during Labor Day Weekend. Prtoceeds to benifit children's art programs.
Sacramento, CA - August, 2003 -- This Labor Day Weekend support the arts along with Petkus Brothers and visit Fremont Park for some live entertainment, great food, inventive crafts and of course some amazing art. Chalk It Up to Sacramento, a non profit organization dedicated to childrens arts education and activities, will be hosting their 13th annual festival August 30-September 1st from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with proceeds to benefit childrens art programs.
"I love how community-minded Sacramento is and nothing helps a great community like a wonderful cause," said Kevin Petkus, president of Petkus Brothers. "The work that these artists do is spectacular but what is even more spectacular is how this work helps the children."
The festival will feature over 150 sidewalk masterpieces created by local artists, which will be on display for the entire month of September. Childrens activities such as face painting and clay sculpting as well as music and food will also be featured at the park located between 15th and 16th Streets and P and Q Streets.
As one of the proud sponsors of the event, Petkus Brothers will keep up with their tradition of helping both the community and worthwhile causes. This past May, they were a sponsor of the Shriners Run and Walk, where proceeds benefited Sacramento Shriners Kids. In March 2002 they, along with the Make-A-Wish foundation, granted the wish of a nine-year old boy suffering from Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy and donated a Marquis spa. In December of 2002 they volunteered to be a drop off point for Coats for Kids, a program dedicated to providing winter coats to those children who are less fortunate.
If you cant make the event be sure to visit one of the two Petkus Brothers showrooms, located in Rocklin and Rancho Cordova for a relaxing dip in one of their 30 spas or take a stroll through one of their three full sized sunroom displays.
