TOM WEHRLE HAS BEEN SELECTED AS ONE OF THE TOP 50 UNSIGNED ACTS IN THE 3RD ANNUAL AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS NEW MUSIC AWARD" COMPETITION.

Saint Louis, MO -- August 13, 2003 -- Solo artist Tom Wehrle was recently chosen as a top 50 finalist from over 1,200+ artists/bands that entered the Coca Cola/American Music Awards ´New Music Award.´ As a finalist, Tom moves to the next round where Dick Clark and CMJ founder/CEO, Robert Haber, will choose 10 semi-finalists to perform live at a playoff event on September 12 at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles. Three finalists will be chosen that evening to compete in the final playoff event during the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City on October 23.

The grand winner will go on to perform live on the 31st Annual American Music Awards telecast on ABC-TV, November 16, 2003.

While the contest is exciting, Tom continues to receive reviews from his June release Something You Cant Find". Playback St. Louis Pop Culture wrote, Tom Wehrle has a high, gentle voice with which he sings earnest, sunshiny pop; you cant help but like the guy and his music."

Tom is scheduled to play at over 20 colleges across the country this fall.

While Tom has set aside dates to travel for the competition, his fall college tour schedule continues to grow daily.
