Concord, NC (PRWEB) August 15, 2003 -- Adventure travel and eco-tourism continue to gain popularity as television networks bring everyday people to exotic locations for competition, prizes, romance and the promise of fame.
Now, Expedition Film Partners and Overland Films will produce Expedition Americas Project: Belize - where participants drive their personal vehicles from Las Vegas, Nevada through Mexico to Belmopan, Belize to deliver packages of humanitarian aid for distribution to the needy. Teams must navigate their own way through the adverse terrain of a foreign country, earning points toward prizes along the way.
Veteran live and televised event producers Erik Olson and Gerry Platt (Making Life an Adventure, 2002 - Mexico to Canada) are set to host the first installment of Expedition - which is intended to continue in different parts of the world with new and varied missions in subsequent productions.
Physical production begins in Las Vegas in August, 2004 and wraps in early September when teams arrive at their destination. Studio footage for intros, bumps and breaks will be produced both before and after the actual event as is warranted.
