SHOREtech Systems announces MailAmi.com the interactive anti-spam service powered by MailGuard(tm) the anti-spam mail server, which stops spam before it gets sent, and notifies spammers to stop contact.

MailAmi.com is the first service to give users a way to stop spam BEFORE it gets sent while reducing to zero the amount of false positives. MailGuard(tm) the anti-spam mail server that powers MailAmi.com, blocks communication when a spammer is detected, and then notifies them at the same time that they are to remove the contact from their spam list. Several services are powered by MailGuard and more on the way.

August, 2003 -- Our solution stops spam from ever being sent and notifies the sender to stop attempting to contact you. Try it at www.MailAmi.com

Our solution works by using user-made allow and block lists and a server strictness setting, that when combined, block mail to your specification, eliminating spam from your mailbox and preventing it from ever leaving the spammers mail server. There are no guessing games, there are no false positives. We put you in charge to stop spam before it gets sent.

Powered by MailGuard...

MailGuard : The Patent Pending Anti-Spam server has an historical accuracy of 100%, which means no false positives. Only YOU, the user, decides what is spam. That's right. We don't decide for you. The server takes proprietary Allow and Block lists, utilizes them both together, along with a single 'account filter setting' and processes all incoming mail to each individual user at the time of receipt. If it is determined to be spam, it stops the connection, notifies the sender that they are blocked and to remove you from their spam list.
No more "I wonder if this remove link works?", no more false positives, no more spam.

We have blocked more than 130,000 spam messages from active accounts and over 500,000 from test and past accounts.

The server, which is the only one of its kind, can manage any number of domains and users from its single location without installation of software by the user, ISP, company, or anyone with a domain.

MailGuard(tm) Differences

Since MailGuard works at the server level, it empowers individuals to have control over what comes into their account. Because of the way we designed the server, it can stop mail after only a small portion of an email is processed, which lightens the server load dramatically, allowing the server to process legitimate mail without any wasted space or process time.

As a company, this allows us to use smaller storage facilities, and more economical hardware configurations. We also do not sell the server to individuals at this time, instead, opting to provide the service from our dedicated server, which promises to keep you from having to worry about someone selling your name. We don't spam, allow spam from our servers, or sell names, buy names, etc.

Unlike other services that attempt to stop spam, our solution stops it before it gets sent. It does this by using a patent pending technology combining Allow and Block lists, created by the user and/or service administrator combined with a strictness setting that lets you decide how to treat incoming mail. Be it "Allow All But Blocked" messages, "Block All But Allowed" messages, or "Allow All No Filtering" of messages.

These 3 functions work together with the server level solution, to detect spam at its source and deny the sending server a connection. This is done in milliseconds and is 100% accurate. Spoofing is detected and solved by notifying the receiver that someone has 'spoofed' or faked their header information.
Furthermore, our solution notifies the sender that they are blocked, designated as spam, and that they are not to contact the receiver in the future. This is really a formality since the receiver never gets another message from the sender. There is a counter next to each blocked contact on the website, which signifies how many times that contact was blocked or allowed depending on the list you are looking at.

Other services actually provide for 'challenge response' functions, which triple the amount of data being sent across the internet. It will also be solved by using Optical Character Recognition software to automatically circumvent the technology. Ours cannot be passed since it doesn't allow for any interaction by a spammer. You aren't wanted by the user of the service and you've been informed, now stop sending your unwanted messages.

Other services use "Blacklisting" from third parties who block entire IP's or Domains of 'known' spammers, however, one persons spam is another persons friend or business endeavor. In fact, our IP address was once blocked by these 'blacklisting' services even though we don't spam, don't advertise other than word of mouth, don't purchase or sell lists and in essence, their list contains 'false positives' that harm business and communication across the internet. Our solution does not utilize those services, but relies on the individual user of our service to decide what is spam to them. You can be as strict as you want, blocking an entire domain, or just a single user, all the while allowing specific people through, or all but those blocked.

Other services require installation of software either at the server itself, or on individual machines. These are flawed from the beginning. They require additional software on your machine, they require the entire message to be downloaded, often times declaring it spam and discarding it without notification, or worse, throwing it into a 'spam' folder or some other place for you to review it. Which doesn't solve the problem, just slows you down.

Our solution does not require ISP's to install anything, just a simple configuration change to their domain record. Our solution does not require users to install software, and more importantly than all of this and especially good for users of the service, our solution does not accept the entire message from the spammer, so it doesn't bog down the internet with 'junk'.

Try the service out yourself, tell your ISP about us, and let them know that it works for you at http://www.MailAmi.com and it will work for everyone once the ISP contacts us.
