Hollywood Wins Again

Phoenix, Arizona - August 15, 2003 -- CleanCut Cinemas announces it will no longer be providing edited movies for rent or sale through its online store.

CleanCut Cinemas and other companies have been involved in the lawsuit against the DGA Directors Guild of America and the Hollywood Studios. The lawsuit is based on whether it is legal to provide edited movies for purchase to consumers who gave permission to have their movies edited for them and provided by CleanCut Cinemas or other companies.

"We believe in the service we were providing and felt it gave families the option to view a movie the way the customer felt comfortable with, without having to sacrifice standards or movie quality. ' Marlo Garrett, owner of CleanCut Cinemas states. 'Unfortunately the cost of fighting the lawsuit was something financially we could no longer afford."

Although no longer involved in the edited movie business, Garrett still believes that changes need to be made to clean-up movies for larger viewing audiences and looks forward to the judges decision on movie editing by outside sources.

CleanCut Cinemas has now changed its business model to offering classic movies only-ones' that won't require editing. Many movies are available on DVD and VHS. The web site will also be featuring movie posters, Route 66 information and memorabilia.
