San Diego Film Festival Selects GCS-PR
The San Diego Film Festival, an annual celebration of film produced by the San Diego Film Foundation, announced today that it has selected GCS-PR (Gable-Cook-Schmid) to direct the 2003 Film Festival public relations and strategic marketing communications efforts. GCS will counsel the Festival on overall marketing strategy, will serve as liaisons to celebrities and filmmakers in town to book all related publicity, as well as foster media relations both locally and nationally with entertainment and motion picture trade media. Last year, GCS earned a national Bulldog PR award in the entertainment category for their work on the Festival. The San Diego Film Festival, a five-day event that features more than 75 domestic and international feature length, documentary and short films, brings Hollywood south by uniting the local film community with some of Tinsel Towns hottest names and industry gurus.

Last years Festival boasted more than 15,000 attendees, 75 films, 25 premieres, 16 sold-out screenings and eight sold-out industry panels. Attendance for 2003 is expected to be near 20,000. A full schedule of films will be announced later this month.
