San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 19, 2003 - Finally, a company that sells baby t-shirts worth dressing your baby in. Baby Wit, founded by a stay-at-home mom, offers consumers ultra-hip choices in infant and toddler t-shirts. From retro (Gary Colemans 'Whatchoo Talkin 'bout?) to classic rock (Sex Pistols, AC/DC) to political (Clean Up The Mess, AriannaForGov.com) to art by contemporary cartoonists and artists.
Owner, Andrea Frost, says I had to do it. I found my hatred of bears and other cute, cuddly creatures impossible to overcome. My daughter was looking simply disgraceful dressed only in her diaper. All the mothers I knew felt the same way. I wanted to offer parents something truly unique and distinctive to dress their babies in. As parents, we have a window of maybe two years to dress our children before their own bad tastes kick in. Baby Wit provides parents a way to enjoy this fleeting period of time."
The site is scheduled to officially launch on September 15, 2003.
One of Baby Wits unique features is the original artwork featured in the Artists" section. Each work is a limited edition of 500. Artists are handpicked at local art shows and open studios.
Frost is a painter herself and knows how difficult it can be for an artist to get their work out in front of the public eye. I see so much incredible work. It is a shame that so little of it is enjoyed by others." Frost is planning an additional line that allows local musicians to put their album covers on baby tees.
Baby Wit makes donations to non-profits and political campaigns. In conjunction with San Francisco-based comic book artist, Kieron Dwyer, who was sued recently by Starbucks for his controversial Consumer Whore" parody, Baby Wit is donating profits to the ALS Association, a non-profit health organization that fights Lou Gehrigs disease.
Baby Wit shirts are available at www.babywit.com and come in 9 different styles including raglan baseball shirts and the tragically hip long-sleeved black tees. Each sweatshop-free t-shirt is priced at $15 and with over 150 designs to choose from, you will most certainly click away with something exceptional.
Baby Wit (www.babywit.com) is based in San Francisco, California and sells the largest collection of ultra-hip infant and toddler t-shirts with musicians, original art, pop culture, political messages, naughty one-liners and other odd and interesting images.
