DACOR® INTRODUCES NEW MILLENNIA ELECTRIC GLIDE COOKTOPS. Features Include Commanding Ribbon Elements, Exclusive Electric Glide Controls

DIAMOND BAR, CA (PRWEB) August 20, 2003 -- DACOR®, a leader in high-end kitchen appliance design, manufacturing and distribution, announced today the introduction of the Millennia Electric Glide Cooktops. Elegant design combined with superior technology, the new 36" METB365 and 30" MET304 cooktops deliver high performance cooking without compromising a sophisticated appearance.

Both models feature the exclusive Electric Glide controls allowing users to simply slide their finger across the smooth ceramic glass top to control temperature settings. The slender lighted strip increases in size and changes color from yellow to orange to red. Another feature is the commanding ribbon elements with an incredibly rapid three-second response, managing the performance and results of the cooking experience.

Extra safety is provided by including a heat limiter on each element to prevent empty cookware from melting or damaging the glass surface. Also, a special heat indicator light remains lit while any burner is active or too hot to touch.

The METB365 model features the added convenience of a bridge element, which links two separate burners to create a continuous platform of radiant heat. The bridge element is perfect for using oversized cookware or a DACOR accessory griddle.

Our new Millennia Electric Glide Cooktops are the latest technological achievements to join the DACOR family of appliances," said S. Michael Joseph, chairman and chief executive officer of DACOR. We are very excited to have them available just a few short months after debuting them at the KBIS show."

Available in two distinct finishes including black with satin trim and black graphite, the Millennia Electric Glide Cooktops offer design flexibility options that include island, peninsula and wall setting environments. The cooktops are compatible with other DACOR products including the 30" and 36" single wall ovens, and low profile raised vents creating a complete cooking center.

Founded in 1965, DACOR has introduced many industry firsts including the only 30" wide dishwasher for the home and an outdoor grill with built in lights. Based in Diamond Bar, Calif., DACOR maintains designer showrooms at corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Chicago, Baltimore, Maryland, and San Francisco.
