Sunrise -- Save the Pets, Inc. a nonprofit animal rescue group based in South Florida gets ready to unleash Summer Pet Bash 2003. With almost 800,000 healthy companion animals being euthanized each year in Florida alone, our state leads the nation in the destruction of shelter pets. Summer Pet Bash 2003 sets out to educate the public, raise money for companion animals and help Plate for Paws" obtain email addresses and funds desperately needed to generate a special license plate that will fund spay & neuter in Florida.
Summer Pet Bash 2003 will have variety of fun filled events and vendors both indoor and outdoor to benefit pets. Some of our exciting festivities will include Professional Pet Photography by Glamour Petz, face painting, clowns, balloon artists, food, refreshments, dog wash, car wash, pet nail and wing trimmings, and music.
We will be holding raffles and fun giveaways all day with exciting prizes and the first 20 adults will receive a free raffle ticket. We will also be holding a 50/50 to benefit needy pets. The first 100 children accompanied by an adult will receive party bubbles.
This exciting event will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2003 at Welleby Veterinary Center from 11am to 5pm. Welleby Veterinary Center is conveniently located on the SW side of Nob Hill and Oakland Park Blvd. For more information please call our Director, Victoria Borges at 954-647-3848.
