FREE Credit Workshop for the credit challenged in the Charlotte, NC Area

C.N. Jenkins Memorial Presbyterian Church's Young Adult Ministry will present Credit Workshop 101, a compelling credit workshop to empower and educate the Charlotte community about their credit report.

August, 2003 -- Everyone wants to have good credit, but few people truly know what to do to create it. There is mystery that surrounds the credit industry, credit scoring and consumer credit. The credit industry has changed drastically. North Carolina's predatory lending laws have also been enacted to assist those seeking mortgage credit.

The general benefits in attending to your credit matters are the ability to get credit approvals on mortgages, car loans or various forms of credit lines. Some of the not-so-apparent benefits would be the money saved in interest payments and no-interest credit card offers. High, strong credit scores yield better terms and interest rates to you no matter what credit form you are seeking.

C.N. Jenkins has decided to aid both its congregation and individuals of the general public. This is not a seminar. It is a workshop. Please bring your credit report or the questions you have about your credit problems. Advocates will be on hand to assist you personally. Seating will be limited to ensure needed attention to each participant.

The workshop is filled with 2 hours of credit information. It has been designed to teach you how to manage the information that appears on your credit report and how to deal with creditors. Credit Workshop 101 uses the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Act as their basis along with those things they know have worked for previous clients.

You must pre-register for the workshop online at the site listed below. Limited seating on a first come, first serve basis. Your seat and participation will be confirmed upon receipt of your on-line registration.

Sept. 8th 2003, 6:30 pm CN Jenkins Memorial Presbyterian Church
1421 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28206.
