PANDA RESTAURANT GROUP OPENS DOORS OF NEW SUPPORT CENTER

Rosemead, CA (PRWEB) August, 2003 --- Panda Restaurant Group, the nations leader in quality quick-service Chinese food, recently announced the completion of its new support center in Rosemead, Calif. The new facilities include a 178,000 square foot state-of-the-art support center and warehouse located on 11 acres in Rosemead, just northeast of Los Angeles.

The buildings features are aimed at maximizing employee comfort and productivity. They include a comprehensive learning center and classrooms for Panda Field Operations, a 300+ person capacity dining and events room, flexible meeting rooms, warehouse facilities, and recreation rooms that offer table tennis and a complete gym with lockers. The facility also includes unique architectural elements and utilizes Feng Shui, the practice of creating harmony and balance within a space.

Since being purchased by Panda Restaurant Group the structure has undergone complete renovation. The strategy behind its redesign was to provide an energizing environment for employees that incorporates traditional aspects of the companys origins while supporting the companys desire to have a modern on-site training facility. The work was completed under the guidance of John Fu, vice president of architecture and construction for Panda Restaurant Group, and James Campbell, a design consultant.

Pandas new headquarters will be home to more than 220 support center associates, including management and staff who previously worked in Pandas regional office in South Pasadena. Panda's first on-site R&D test kitchen and cafeteria are expected to be completed next year.

The support center relocation comes at a time when Panda Restaurant Group is celebrating its 30th anniversary. It is poised to support the companys long term strategy to expand across the nation.
