Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) August 25, 2003 -- Direct Entertainment recently ventured away from it's established business of representing music and film clients to test the waters of the reality television trend in a very big way. The company has engaged the cast of MTV's two most popular programs, The Real World and Road Rules, to act as their Personal Management team.
In the past, cast members from these and similar shows would generally sign with one or two booking agents and conduct a few personal appearances during Spring Break, Mardi Gras, and perhaps also speak at some local colleges. With Direct Entertainment taking the active role as the cast member's Personal Managers they now have a vast network of booking agents and regional talent buyers who have been prescreened and approved to solicit professional opportunities including personal appearances, mall tours, commercial endorsement deals, roles in movies and television, and much more.
Direct Entertainment Founder, Trevor Chowning, said, "Rather than being locked into a situation where these kids can only work in the particular field that a single agent happens to be involved in, we have opened the financial floodgates by offering a wide palate of opportunities from which they can choose."
He went on to add, "In the past, if you were on one of these shows you had maybe 6-months to take advantage of your popularity before the network started promoting the next season's cast. Today, we begin working so quickly that we have extended the shelf life of a reality TV personality to as much as two years just by being there from day one."
Company Profile:
Direct Entertainment has been working in the field of entertainment for nearly 12-years and has resisted several attempts to be bought out by larger companies. Their key to success is staying just big enough to offer their clients an unparalleled amount of personal attention.
Founder, Trevor Chowning said about his success, "I would rather be able to sleep well at night knowing I am helping a great group of kids accomplish their goals rather than be sitting on a few million dollars in the bank and not be able to look at myself in the mirror." He added with a smile, "Life has been very good to me."
