Imagine Graphics Ltd, specialists in computer display technology and digital video systems, has announced a distribution agreement with US manufacturer Arion Technologies Inc.,
London, UK (PRWEB) August 22, 2003 --- Imagine Graphics Ltd, specialists in computer display technology and digital video systems, has announced a distribution agreement with US manufacturer Arion Technologies Inc., that will see Imagine Graphics adding proven, efficient and cost-effective XGA, video, audio and control data distribution systems over Category 5, 5e, 6 and 7 UTP (unshielded twisted pair) structured cabling to their portfolio of products.
Norman Garland, MD of Imagine Graphics announced: We are constantly looking out for products that compliment and enhance what we already sell -- the Arion products address key market areas such as financial trading, retail, transportation, public information, education, security/surveillance, entertainment, defense and more. In fact any application where displays such as plasma display panels, projectors, LCDs and CRT monitors need to be remotely sited and controlled.
We are extremely pleased to be teaming with a company that is innovative and a force in first-adopter technologies in this field. When markets are as competitive as they are now, it is vital to continuously offer new, yet proven and reliable solutions to our customers. The big advantages of using UTP structured cabling are that it is so cheap compared to traditional multiple coaxial lines, it requires little technical know-how to install and much greater transmission distances can be achieved. For instance an XGA signal can easily be transmitted over 300m. yet full display quality and clarity is maintained!"
Imagine Graphics is supplying Arions VideoNet, SAVI and Kuvera remote video-over-UTP products. The VideoNet range is the basic workhorse proving XGA and video over CAT5 UTP at up to 300m. distance. The SAVI range adds stereo audio to the XGA capabilities and the Kuvera range further adds keyboard, mouse, bidirectional RS232 data communications and an audio back-channel. The SAVI and Kuvera ranges feature U.S.C.I.T. - Universal Structured Cable Integrated Technology -- Arions patented delay-line and dual-band video equalization technology that enables signals to be transmitted and received over greater distances without degradation.
U.S.C.I.T. gives SAVI and Kuvera the ability to work with any structured cable. Each receiver allows fine-tuning of the video output for the very best picture possible using delay line compensation to adjust each color and dual-band equalization to compensate for signal drop off and losses due to the cable length. This means no more bulky RGBHV cables with BNC connectors at each end and RGB distribution amplifiers to worry about.
Larry Thomas, Head of Sales and Marketing at Arion Technologies commented on the agreement: Our goal at Arion is to develop distribution channels with solid, well placed companies that fully understand the potential of Arion products. Our products fit into a wide variety of business and industry from financial trading floors at Lehman Brothers in New York, Chicago and New Jersey to military field operations in Kuwait and Baghdad. Imagine Graphics offers a comprehensive line of complimentary products which further enhances end user benefits."

As technology evolved Arion became a leader developing remote video applications. Rather than to sell directly into the marketplace, Arion became a private label manufacturer. Products such as VideoNet were designed, produced, private labeled and sold under several names including MultiView-1000 by Magenta Research. VideoNet transports VGA video to remotely located monitors at distances of up to 1000 feet using standard category 5 UTP wiring.
Arion started branding its name and products in 2001. Direct sales began shortly after to an accepting marketplace. As the Arion name and its products became familiar to consultants, integrators and dealers, Arion found the need to fulfill their requirements for more highly sophisticated products. Thus, the advent of U.S.C.I.T. Universal Structured Cable Integrated Technology, SAVI and Kuvera.
