441 RECORDS ARTIST GRADY TATE PERFORMS AT J&R MUSIC AND COMPUTER WORLD JAZZFEST 2003
Grammy nominated vocalist to release new album.
(PRWEB) August 22, 2003 -- Jazz great GRADY TATE will perform in person in New York's famed City Hall Park on Friday, August 22nd at 5pm as part of the J&R Music and Computer World 9th Annual Jazzfest. This free jazz festival runs from August 19th - 24th and features a stellar line-up of renowned jazz musicians. Sharing the bill with TATE on Friday night will be Cyrus Chestnut and Terence Blanchard.
GRADY TATE's smooth vocals have been compared to Frank Sinatra, Perry Como and Nat King Cole. In addition to his vocal talents, TATE is a celebrated drummer, having worked with artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Aretha Franklin. TATE also spent six years as the drummer for The Tonight Show, and received two Grammy nominations for "Best Male Pop Vocalist" (1973 and 1979).
