C50K.org (Club 50,000) membership is free. A one-time donation of $10.00 is requested from each member upon joining to offset the ongoing administrative & operational expenses. All remaining donations are used to expand the club library (new CDs and DVDs) to the benefit of all members. C50K accepts tax deductible donations from both members and the general public and so far has been comfortably able to maintain club operations without additional monthly membership fees.

C50K leverages open source software in its continuing effort to keep operating and development expenses to a minimum. Club servers have been donated and all servers run GNU/Linux. The private club library is powered by enterprise class java technology. Beta testers agreed the C50K.org member library was fast, easy to use and reliable. Remaining memberships are available to the public at www.c50k.org.
