(PRWEB) August 25, 2003 -- Music enthusiasts, from the frothing-at-the-mouth variety to those even vaguely interested in learning more about classical music and the Austin Symphony's 2003 - 2004 Season, are invited to a special forum at Barnes & Noble at the Arboretum (Southwest corner of Research and Capital of Texas Highway) featuring the Conductor and Artistic Director of the ASO, Peter Bay.
Stephen Aechternacht, the author of the Symphony's program notes and the host of the talks at Bass Concert Hall prior to each concert (and more than one KMFA 89.5 program), will also be bringing his perspective on the season's program, the composers who created the works, and the musicians who will bring them to life. Questions, comments, and open discussion is encouraged.
For those considering studying up on the season ahead of time, Bay and Aechternacht (both are avid record collectors) will be happy to share their recommendations for recordings available at Barnes & Noble and other music outlets. Those in attendance will be invited to chat with each other as well as the honored guests while enjoying complimentary coffee and snacks.
