Finding and extracting necessary icon images is no easy task. First, average computer contains hundreds, even thousands of different icons. Second, the icon may be "hidden" in a variety of source files, making the process or extraction difficult, if not impossible.
Icon Catcher 4.0 is a high-speed batch icon extractor and processor capable of finding 3000 icons in one minute. The program supports all possible icon formats, including 32-bit XP-style icons with alpha channel and can process images with various dimensions from 16x16 up to 96x96. Extended filtering options allows user to select icons by color resolution or by size or by any combination of this parameters to make search for necessary icons easy and fast.
The program extracts icons from any source files that can contain icons (.ico, .exe, .icl, .dll, .scr, .ocx, .vbx, .dpl, .bpl and others), and allows users to later save the icons in Windows Icon Collections (.icl) or as separate files (.ico, .bmp, .png). True alpha transparency is supported when saving icon to PNG format.
