BEST CONNECTICUT & NEW YORK PUBLIC SCHOOLS HONORED
The best public schools were honored on USA TV Talk Live with Al Bruhn August 22 on Comcast TV 23, when public school superintendents of Brewster Central Public School District and Weston Public School District were respectfully acknowledged as having outstanding education institutions and leadership.
Danbury, CT (PRWEB) August 23, 2003 -- The best public schools were honored on USA TV Talk Live with Al Bruhn August 22 on Comcast TV 23, when public school superintendents of Brewster Central Public School District and Weston Public School District were respectfully acknowledged as having outstanding education institutions and leadership.
Dr. Mark Lewis, Superintendent of Brewster Central Public School District, and Dr. Lynne Pierson, Superintendent of Weston Public School District, talked about a variety of education issues with USA TV Talk anchor Al Bruhn during an hour long live broadcast.
Among the issues discussed included how to retain qualified teachers and find replacements for retiring teachers, innovative education programs and advanced projects. Dr. Pierson told of her summer trip to Alaska to challenge the glaciers in order to share her experiences with Weston staff and motivate them to higher level of performance.
The Weston school chief also explained how her district is on the cutting edge of restructuring town schools into K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.
Dr. Lewis highlighted an outstanding algebra program in Kindergarten among other Brewster Central Public School District education programs, including the completion of a high tech high school expansion project.
