CATEA selects User Insight to evaluate website for the disabled.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 25, 2003 --- User Insight, the leader in usability testing and accessibility, announced today that the Center for Assistive Technology and Environmental Access (CATEA) at Georgia Institute of Technology has selected User Insight to evaluate one of their Web sites www.assistivetech.net. The assistivetech.net Web site provides information on assistive technologies, adaptive environments and community resources for people with disabilities, including their families and service providers.
Our Web site is an important resource for fulfilling our mission to promote access to people with disabilities through the use of technology. Collaborating with User Insight is an example of our commitment to develop and enhance our user experience," said Beth Bryant of CATEA. User Insight provides a unique combination of usability experience, accessibility knowledge and design expertise." User Insight will evaluate www.assistivetech.net to identify factors that contribute to successful or unsuccessful use of the site by different user groups. This usability project will take the product to the actual users, who will present feedback on how people with disabilities use Web-enabled applications. Testing will include seven unique user groups, from persons with disabilities to assistive technology vendors.
We are very excited to have been selected to work with CATEA over the next couple of months" states John M. Morgan, PhD, founder and President of User Insight. Its our goal to insure conformity with accessibility guidelines and standards. In addition, we feel that a website is not accessible if it is not also usable and this combination will create the most benefit for CATEAs users."
