Last Day Confessions of the Ordinary by John Ray, available for purchase.
An intelligent, provacative, sign of the times, Last Day Confessions of the Ordinary is a must read for everyone.
Last Day Confessions of the Ordinary is a dark, yet emotional, tale of one teenaged boys quest to fit in at home and in the world.
It is the last month of senior year. The nameless main character has put off the constant reminders of his councilor to turn in his 'Future Plan, an assignment required by all seniors in the high school that outlines their goals and career choices for the future. When the constant neglect and loneliness of his home life begin to wear him down, the young man decides to write the report, but not the outline for his future the councilor is looking for. The plan lays out in detail a series of assignments that play out one a day for the next week. The goal is to show the failed observations of parents in society to notice the poor choices of their children, until it is too late. The story that unfolds with each day will lead to a culmination of hard lessons learned, unfortunate deaths, and one boys change into a man on the brink of psychosis.
Each of the victims sub tales, as well the main story of a teen on the edge, will have you so enthralled at the reality and familiarity of each richly formed character you could swear you knew them.
